Hi
I use several usb devices on my laptop, when I have several
plugged in at once, my laptop gets very hot and turns itself
off. I have just purchased a powered hub to take some of the
strain off of the laptop, what is the best way to make use
of this new hub. I have three usb drives and occasionally I
want to transfer files from one to another, these usb drives
all have 2 usb cables, if I have both cables plugged in to
the laptop my laptop switches off. Which of the drives
cables should I plug into the usb hub the one for the power
or the one for data? To have all three drives plugged in at
once is pushing it anyway. I think my laptop is just getting
old. Are there any devices which you cannot run off of a
powered hub?
Regards
Adrien
