Nope that's all you need. Feel free to change it if you like as wel. You can
use any characters and I think it can be up to soemthing like 150 chracters
long but I could be wrong on that.

Peter, Many thanks, Admin did the trick for the user name, wonderful <smiile>

So, I can now see the settings for my Netgear, amongst the wireless settings, I
have the box checked that says:

WPA-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-Shared Key)

I can also see what I have written for the network key; is this all I'll need
for connecting the netbook to this network, or is there more.
guys, this is great help -

Andy
Thanks

Subject: [access-uk] Adding my netbook to my network

  Hi all -

Please bear with me as I feel like I'm in the deep end again :)

When I get my Netbook, I want it to work wirelessly on the same network as my
laptop.

My current set up has been to have my now defunct desc top, wired via
ethernet to my Netgeergb 834 router, and my laptop connected wirelessly. When I
was setting this up, I used the CD that came with the Netgeer, and it placed a
short cut on the desk top of the hard wired PC, that I could click on to see
the router settings, including pass key etc.

Now that I've lost access to the PC, and only have my laptop working, I'm not
sure what to do to get the netbook working wirelessly.

Will I need the passkey that I created when installing the Netgeer threw the
Ethernet cable to the PC? If so, I am unable to retrieve it because the PC has
died; does this mean I need to start again, and install the Netgeer's software
from the cd, on to my laptop?

  I hope this isn't too fuzzy <smile>

  Andy
