I think the main problem here is DRM in the source. That might stop any TTS app from creating an audio file. However, if you have access to Kurzweil 1000 version 13, I believe it supports epub and it certainly is able to make mp3 or wave files from the documents it loads. Also, have a look at Nextup.com. Their recently launched TextAloud app for IOS supports non-DRM epub format and their desktop version for PC is very good at converting most file types (but epub not mentioned) into audio.
