How much is the paid for version and does it give you a different message at the bottom of your e mails from the free version?

I'm honestly not going nuts asking about such things, am at dispute with a list administrator over tags on the bottom of e mails. and am wondering how I can fix the problem, its not as such the avg, its the tags my isp puts on the bottom of my messages from my dial up. Can the customer/user take them off or can only the isp do it

Hi Roger, I think in the free version of AVG, you can change the time of the scan, but not whether you want it daily, weekly or whatever. Still it's very good for what it is.

Hi Donna

I use the Pro version but there's not a great deal of difference between them. I run a full scan and definitions update every day at 6.00 am If the machine is not on it will still do them when it is. I find it runs in the background and most of the time I'm not aware it's doing it. I feel happier that any problems are sorted as quickly as possible so see no reason to change the settings.

In the AVG control panel is a Schedule Tasks tab which will enable you to make any changes you want to.

Does anyone use AVG Free Edition? If so, I have the computer currently set to the default of checking for viruses evry day at 8 am. I am just wondering, is it necessary to do a scan every day, or would every week do? Also, does anyone know how to change the settings if I do need to change it to a weekly scan?

Thanks

Donna
