Hi Shirley
I'm a bit baffled by your AVG 8.0 Free problems. I've got it running at
home on both an XP Home desktop and a Vista Home Premium laptop. I've
got it set the same, and use JAWS 9.0.2169, which means it now works
within the AVG interface. Mine is definitely up-to-date, and scans for
incoming and outgoing Emails as far as I can be sure.
If you go into AVG, bring up the menu, then go down to scanning, you
should be able to configure it to your liking with a series of
checkboxes.

It looks like I am in big trouble!...
The desk-top, which is the machine I am trying to get the AVG Free 8 on
too, has JAWS 5.1!...
If I put AVG 7.5 back on to the Desk-top, I wonder how long that version
will be operational for!...
Incidentally I haven't had any problems with the AVG 7.5 on either of my
machines.
Something I would like to point out!...did you know that the new AVG
Free 8 does not scan e-mails in or out!...
Mind you, if one buys the full version it does!...
