I note that you are using Jaws 7. I remember there was a very important update at the time to Jaws 7.1; I can't quite remember why it was so important but it certainly was. If you haven't got 7.1 perhaps you should update as it's free.

Subject: [access-uk] ASDA SHOPPING UPDATE

Hi all,

I just thought I'd give you an update to my ASDA shopping saga.

I did do quite well yesterday, with IE 8 and Jaws 7, putting items into my trolley. (I couldn't get other versions of Jaws to read the list of items or delivery slots, no matter how hard I tried, and Jaws 7 still hung a bit on some parts.) I also booked a delivery slot, eventually, but didn't realise that it expired that day which is a bit daft really because you then have to check out and (presumably) go on adding to your list because you've booked a slot for two weeks hence! Anyway, I'm now shopping without booking a slot, despite the nag.

I've now decided to use FireFox and have reached the conclusion that, though I was loath to use it, it's on my system, is so much like IE that it's not really a nuisance, as Jaws isn't acting up stupid as with IE and so far it's working fine. In this way, searching and adding items is easy but I have yet to check out and receive my goods.

I'll keep you posted.

Thanks all, especially Chris, for encouraging me to give FireFox a try here ...
