Hi everyone!!!
Hope i'm not invading your inboxes too much. Well, I hope you're all having a fun, safe, productive? summer. And i hate to do this to you, but we're starting to plan for the new school year. So this email is to tell you a little bit about some changes we'll be having in AACF this year.
As part of inreach, i've got some crazy ideas of what i'd like to see happen within the fellowship. We're looking to start some new ministries, accountability groups, and care teams. I would like to hold bi-weekly or even weekly events so we have more opportunities to hang out and fellowship with each other. I have so many ideas, but i can't do it alone!! And i'm sure you all have great ideas as well. So i'm here to delegate and offer you a chance to become involved in AACF through the inreach ministry. For those who don't know what inreach is, this is basically what i feel it is...

   - building relationships within the body and bringing everyone closer together
   - helping each other grow spiritually and build on our relationships with Christ
   - offering hospitality to one another
   - making AACF even more of a family
   - working together to make AACF a welcoming environment for new-comers
   - being more concerned with the quality of the body rather than the quantity

For this year, i would like to have an Inreach Team, along with other teams for the many ministries we'll be starting up. At LTC (Leadership Training Conference) we learned that other campuses had ministries for different interests and talents, such as sports an d writing. If you feel that God has blessed you with a talent, (skate/snowboarding, art, cooking, music, sports, writing...etc) pray about it and if the Spirit leads you, maybe we can start that ministry. Romans 12 says that "the body is a unit, thought it is made up of many parts" and without each part, the body cannot function properly or efficiently. "There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men." (12:4-6) Take this chance to serve the Lord in what He has given you, and perhaps even use it to evangelize!
There are many other ways you can serve God without starting a ministry. You can get involved with Freshmen Care, Welcome Week, follow-up team, homework ministry, breakfast reading ministry... these are just some ideas, and the possibilities are endless! So if you're even rem otely interested, please pray about it and email or call me to let me know you would like to become involved. And if you have any questions or want more details, feel free to give me a call.

"Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms." - 1 Peter 4:9-10

your sister in Christ,
michelle
