Hey family!
I hope everyone is doing well and managed to get through deadweek in one piece. I know this is a stressful time for a lot of you guys, but I wanted to remind you (and myself) that God should be our motivation. He is the one we work hard for (Colossians 3:23-24) and without Him we are incapable (John 15:5).
In 1 Thessalonians we are encouraged to live to please God and not man. A simple way to please God is to spend time with Him and to make Him more important than anything in your life. So next week, in the midst of all the finals and papers, take a moment or two to acknowledge our God and His goodness. He will get you through the week.
Pray:For I know the plans I
have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm
you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (
Jeremiah 29:11-13)
Read:
Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on
it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written
in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (Joshua 1:8)
