here is what little I know about digital cams:
1) the higher the megapixels the better the picture
2) optical zoom is more important than digital zoom
3) for transferring pics,look for firewire or USB2

I have a Gateway computer, purchased within the last year, running Windows
XP. I want to buy a digital camera and have not a clue as to what to buy.
The more I read about digital cameras, the less that I know. It needs to
be VERY simple to run and easy to download the pictures. Any opinions as
to which camera would work easily with my system and would be a good value
