We have the following needs in equipment. We present them, in order
of significance. 1st is more important, 2nd less important than 1st, etc...
1) We need a timing system, with a capacity of 100 - 150 athletes. We would
like it
to be compatible with both reusable velcro tags and one time use (disposable)
tags.
Something like the RFID ULTRA system that is attached in this email would be
fine.
We wait for your recommendation also, as you have more experience in using this
kind of systems.
2) Secondly, we certainly need Finish Arch. If your pricing falls inside our
budget we would also like
to have a Swim Start and Finish Arch.
3) Again, if the budget allows, we can certainly can make good use of 1, 2, or
3 swim buoys.
We checked the lapio system that you recommended and it seems a very nice
addition, that will
enhance athletes and their followers experience. We will certainly try to add
this software to the Ocean Lava Rhodes Races,
however we think that is best, not to be overloaded with so many new systems
from the first race. As you said in a previous
email: one step at a time. Lets make sure we get the basic equipment, get
familiar with it, use it for some races and then we
will certainly upgrade the experience.
As far as it concerns that web site, we already made contacts with local web
site builders.
If, however, we meet difficulties in implementing it we will ask for you help.
We need a cost estimation for the above 1 - 3 equipment. Then we can write down
our financing proposal to
the authorities, get a budget and buy from you as many parts, as possible.
