Lt. Roman Haas went from the briefing to the office dedicated for use
by the ship's second officer. He knew, as XO on this mission, it would
be one of his duties to make certain the Trojan Horse, was
properly stocked. They were going to be spending at least three days
in training alone on that ship. There was no telling ow long it would
take to complete the mission.
Rommie brought up the supplies requisition on the computer screen. He
ordered the basic food elements that would allow for a basic menu for
the replicators on the Horse. Next he did a quick status check
of the water supply aboard the Orion ship.
Colonel Suntun must have anticipated this need. The database on the Horse
showed that the tanks had been purged of water that had been sitting in
them since the ship was "acquired," and fresh water had been put in
from the USS Rotunda..
Finally, Rommie made certain there was enough raw matter aboard the Horse.
This would allow for the simple replication of clothing and Orion
uniforms, which actually weren't much more than regular civilian
clothes. Wearing Starfleet uniforms would not do, in case they were
boarded. It was common to find different species aboard Orion trader
ships, especially ones this old, but not Starfleet officers.
He sat back and tried to think of all contingencies. After a few
minutes he gave a sigh and shut off the computer screen. He decided
that in the next three days, they could hopefully predict some
worst-case scenarios and prepare themselves for it. That was the
advantage of having the crew Gwen had chosen.
