Subject: [DIG_REF] Global Census form up!
Hello again. I'm pleased to let you all know that the survey form for the
Global Census of Digital Reference is now up and available. You can access
it at the web site for the project, at
http://www.ischool.washington.edu/jwj/census/
A couple of friendly reminders: please use the worksheet, also available at
the site, to record and plan out your responses before filling out the
survey form. The form will ask you for your data for each of the three
study days (November 3, 6, and 9) separately, and the question numbers there
match up with those on the worksheet.
And again, we're looking for you to report questions your service received
directly from users. To avoid double-counting, do not report any questions
that got forwarded to you from another service. If you or your institution
is covering a cooperative service for all or part of a study day, and you
are the first service to see and deal with a question, you should report it.
Again, please accept our gratitude for your help and participation with this
project. We look forward to hearing from you all, and reporting our
findings at VRD in San Antonio and in other publications and venues. Take
care, and start sending data! (After the 9th is over, of course....) Joe
