Welcome!

This is the Web page for the Meridian Owners email distribution list. It was created in the aftermath of the devastating fire that did major damage to our condominium building, so that we can share information, ask questions and generally stay in touch. We may also find it useful after we are all comfortably back in our condos. The value of this service depends entirely on its subscribers and contributors, so I hope everyone will join, but it is entirely voluntary.

The basic idea of a distribution list (called a "listserv" in geekspeak) is simple: once you are subscribed, you can send a single email to the address "meridianowners@freelists.org" and it will be distributed to all the other subscribers. Note that the full list of email addresses is not visible to other subscribers, so your email address remains confidential as long as you only receive emails. Of course, if you send an email to the list, your return address will be on the email.

To subscribe:
1. Send an email to "meridianowners-request@freelists.org" with the word "subscribe" in the subject line.

Enter your email address on that page and click Next.)
The system will send you an email to confirm that you wish to subscribe.
2. Click on the link in the confirmation email. This will take you to a Web page with the title "Subscribe to meridianowners".
3. Check off the three boxes of legalese (Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, email authorization) and click Next.
4. You will receive a final verification email in a couple of minutes.

To send an email to the group:
Just address your email to "meridianowners@freelists.org". Simple!
Please bear in mind that your email will go to everybody on the list, so treat it as public information.

To unsubscribe:
1. Send an email to "meridianowners-request@freelists.org" with the word "unsubscribe" in the subject line. The system will send you an email to confirm that you wish to unsubscribe.
2. Click on the link in the confirmation email. This will take you to a confirmation Web page.
3. You will receive a final email shortly to confirm that you are unsubscribed.
