Tanto è vero che nella versione Link 128, se non ricordo male, ripristinai i caratteri alti 8 pixel (in realtà 7, perchè un pixel era sempre a 0...)(6:2:30) The software is for use with scrolling type bulletin board systems.There are two versions one for 128K/+2 spectra and another for 48Kers.Now I know the 48K doesn't have a RS232 interface but the disk comes with Tasword 2 text files explaining how to build a RS232 interface for the 48K spectrum. The program and text files occupy over 70K of disk space. The instructions are very good and in English having been translated by Carlo Malantrucco. The instructions I received were already printed out and well presented using P.C.G. DTP package. The instructions can also be freely photocopied. LINK is written almost entirely in machine code using no Spectrum ROM routines. Thankfully BASIC is used to carry out loading and saving. So it can be used with any drive system. LINK uses a display similar to Tasword 2, 64 columns but 32 rows. This is achieved by the characters being only half normal heigth e.g. 4 pixels high.Non è vero! Non credo che esistesse lo scrolling (tanto meno smooth and fast!...), ma forse intendeva che il meccanismo di ricominciare dall'alto ogni volta che si arrivava a fondo pagina rendeva comunque fluida la lettura... Chissà!(7:2:30) A large 32K rolling buffer ( a buffer which loses text from the beginning when over 32K has already been received) is used to store 32K of text recieved and of course can be saved to disk.The scrolling is smooth and fast.Peccato che lo scrolling non c'è. :-) A meno che non ci fosse nella versione a 1200... Uhm... proprio non ricordo... Ma non credo...
ASCII text can be up loaded and down loaded but Xmodem protocols for file uploading/down loading are not supported.Invece sì, era supportato. Forse, come per i 2400, non lo era quando scrisse l'articolo?
