    fava.

Actually the main problem with shipping to Italy is more to do
with the complaints a lot of sellers receive (and claim backs)
from Italian users - because the Italian postal service can take
up to 6 weeks to deliver airmail items sent from the UK -
sometimes it can be much quicker, but not always.

Italy is not the only country where this happens and causes issues
    - Spain and Greece can also be very slow - Russia can be up to 3
    months (!)

Add on the normal airmail handling time in the USA (about 2 weeks)
and it means a long wait.

Ebay itself does not help as it publishes 'expected delivery time'
    of 3-4 working days !!

In my experience (perhaps I'm "lucky") problem is related to (poor!) PACKING, not to delivery time (I always receive items from UK in a few days). I also had an issue with you, years ago (remember the Trump Card shipped in a simple "bubble envelope"?) :-( But I was generally speaking :-). Why do UK sellers make so poor packagings????

Massimo

Actually I send most interfaces wrapped in bubble wrap inside a bubble envelope - it is extremely rare that anything I send gets damaged in transit (I had forgotten your experience I admit). The biggest problem I have is the lengths some postal workers seem to go to to bend a cardboard envelope containing a keyboard membrane!

UK sellers seem to try to do the postage for as little as possible - this was not helped by the way the Royal Mail charge postage - up until 1st April, you could send anything under 100g as letter rate and it would cost around £1.50-£2 - but some post offices moaned if it was a padded (bubble) envelope.

Now it has changed and from 1st April there is a maximum size on letters (max 5mm thick), so everything I sell for example, now has to go to Europe as a small packet with prices starting from £3.60 (even for 4 rubber feet....)
