Hello Ralf, I have found this link which IMHO provides a clue. My machine is an HP. I have edited the paths as suggested to no avail. https://forums.embarcadero.com/thread.jspa?threadID=63045 I am certain it's a path thing. The problem is proving it. The fact that there are three installs that apparently compile to the same package and default destination is the only thing that is not common to other peoples stuff. Not sure what the next move is ? Kind regards Jon -----Original Message----- From: yunqa-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:yunqa-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Delphi Inspiration Sent: 25 December 2011 15:55 To: yunqa@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [yunqa.de] Re: XE2 upgrade 3 install problem On 24.12.2011 17:30, Jon Burnham wrote: > But it seems that if there was a directive in your package that > avoided installing the .bpl into the /users/****/documents etc > directory - but rather it created its own install directory or the > main XE2 install directory (as others 3rd party add-ons have done). > Just stay away from the users directory. The DISQLite3 package does not specify a package output directory. In other words, its Project Options -> Delphi Compiler -> Package output directory setting is empty. This will cause your Delphi to write the *.bpl file to your default package output directory specified in Options -> Environment Options -> Delphi Options -> Library -> Package output directory. Maybe you entered a wrong folder there?
