I'm starting to look at CLI access to the waveform section (oscillator), and
running through the GUI controls to get a clearer idea revealed a *lot* of
inactive ones still being shown as active - this goes back a very long way.
The ones I've now identified and changed are:
base type parameter.
base modulation parameters.
Hopefully, with these shown inactive when the 'switch' is off, people will no
longer think various parameter controls "don't seem to do much"!
For some reason, Paul originally used sliders for volume and velocity
sensitivity at engine level and above, but kept panning as a rotary one.
Fairly early on Cal changed all of these to rotary ones, making the GUI more
consistent while actually taking the same amount of space. Strangely he didn't
change the voice modulator controls to match.
So here's the question should we bring them into line with everything else? It
wouldn't take much to do so.

Say you have a poem and I have a tune.
Exchange them and we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.
