Dear YESSers,

Nature Words <https://medium.com/naturewords>, the official blog of our
network, has been pretty busy in June!

During this past month, the blog revisited the reports produced during the
webinar series organized by the Environmental Peacebuilding Association.
YESS was a partner in this initiative and was in part responsible for
putting these reports together, as a way to make the webinars even more
accessible!

The first webinar report looked into the case of Cyprus
<https://medium.com/naturewords/the-science-of-building-peace-with-nature-838b36cd5bfb>,
and the experience of two researchers in using science in a conflicted area.

The second took us to the heated discussions about our planet's polar
regions
<https://medium.com/naturewords/icy-cold-but-with-heated-discussions-918e66b9253b>
.

The third, and final webinar, explored the challenges and solutions to ocean
governance
<https://medium.com/naturewords/ocean-governance-problems-and-solutions-ee69eeaf6277>
.

In addition to these webinars, Thuận Sarzynski
<https://medium.com/naturewords/a-bigger-impact-to-save-wildlife-760e84b3de49>
contributed with a post about the very productive networking event
organized by YESS delegates at the 7th IPBES Plenary. Participants were
asked about their expectations and how they think more actors can become
involved in the IPBES program.

Remember, *all YESS members can write for the blog* - no previous
experience needed :)

Writing in Nature Words is a great way to promote science, practice your
communication skills, and engage with different audiences!
How about showcasing the latest paper/conference abstract you wrote? Or
talking about what research your department has been developing? Maybe your
experience at a conference you attended? Nature Words covers all of it! :)

Check out the blog's guidelines on writing

feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
