Hi. I'm not working on Yadex at the moment. I hope to get back to
it some time but not in the near future. Got a 1.7.902-and-a-half
on my disk that fixes some build issues so bug me if 1.7.901 won't
compile for you.

There are two problems with Hexen editing that I know of : ACS and
the level data format. Yadex has zero support for ACS. It can sort
of read Hexen levels by shoe-horning them into Doom format but
some attributes are lost in the process.

To add real Hexen support to Yadex, you'd have to 1) enlarge the
data structures so they can hold the additional Hexen attributes,
2) update the editor to let you view and modify those attributes
and perhaps 3) compile/decompile/edit ACS. I don't know exactly
how much work all this would be but I know that I'm not likely to
get it done before your patience wears out. <g>

Pity, because I love that game and would very much like to be able
to edit it. If you have some ideas as to what a good Hexen editing
interface would be, I'd like to hear them.

Have you looked into Slade ? Maybe it does what you want.
