vdosplus LPT1 error message

Don't know if this a vdos or vdosplus issue, but the command

LPT1 = "pclprint.cmd" HIDE #LPT1.ASC

now generates an error message "could not start pclprint.cmd".  Since the page 
does in fact print, it looks like the error message is itself the error.
