I am all for plain text. The mailing list should use some preprocessing
routine (e.g. http://www.phred.org/~alex/stripmime.html) to overcome
this. Or we all should be more careful when sending posts.

Kari, the issue is not with email clients, it's that HTML posts are stripped
from the web archives.
Plain text is standard for mailing lists. I would rather not depart from it
after lo these many years.
