Hi Monica,I'm committed to going out tonight and tomorrow, so it's unlikely
I'll be up for going out Thursday too. A pity.

Paul from Oxfordshire Natural Beeks has forwarded a link to this article in
new scientist about gynandromorphy in honey bees. The more we know about bees
the more we realise how little we really know at all. Isn’t that what’s so good
about this natural beekeeping journey?!

If you want the full article you can find it here:

Paul also forwarded an article about how rough interior surfaces in hives
encourage propolis collection which - surprise - results in lower bacterial
loads for the honey bees in the colony.

Hope to see you all on Thursday - if you haven’t already, please do let us know
if you’re coming as I need to let Sheila know numbers.
All the best
Monica
