Dennis, first you stated there's no sidewalk on the LEFT side, then you
mention the missing sidewalk is on the RIGHT.
Also, right now I'm focusing on crosswalks, curb cuts, etc. Eventually I
will assist installing them as needed. Right now we as a Committee need to
advocate and Educate. A person driving sees a pedestrian in the street;
what does he/She do? A bicyclist travels in the area allowed to him/her;
what should a motorist do around the bicyclist? THAT'S what I envision
WSMAC doing, Advocating and Educating.

I have a Question for those in the
" Know ". I was driving down Pierce Street, from Nasson Avenue downhill,
then turned Left uphill onto Falmouth Street. Coming down Pierce Street,
the sidewalk is on the Right hand side. There is no sidewalk on the Left
side of Pierce in that section, until you reach the intersection with
Mayberry Street at the bottom of the hill.
A young mother was pushing a baby carriage with a baby in the carriage,
and a boy, her son? , about 7 - 8 Years of age, walking with her. They
were walking uphill on the Right hand side of Pierce Street, between
Falmouth Street snd Nasson Avenue. There is no Sidewalk on that side of
Pierce Street , up to Nasson Avenue. She was walking with her back to on
coming traffic uphill on Pierce Street, inside the white fog line
One hazardous condition on that section of Pierce Street from Falmouth to
Nasson, uphill, is an Overgrowth of Tree branches and Bushes, Shrubbery,
which forces any Pedestrians to step outside of the White line and around
to the Left and into the Traffic Lane. No uphill traffic was present at
that moment but ... I have no idea if the young mother is new to the
neighborhood or has lived here for awhile.
Also, Do not know where the property lines and City lines are for the
overgrown Bushes, Tree branches on that side of Pierce Street. Depending
on the time of day, the line of sight at Nasson Avenue, looking Left
downhill on Pierce Street, is somewhat obstructed.
