Here are notes from our meeting yesterday, concerning the Bike Rack Grant

Bruce reached out to mayor’s office last week, assistant forwarded letter
to others, and followed up by phone. Nothing.
John heard back from Anna Turcotte that she wants to “research further”.
No one else has heard from their contacts either.
Regarding maintenance concerns, Kim suggests volunteers keeping them
shoveled out in the winter. John suggests business owners could be asked to
do that too, for the racks in front of their businesses. We agree that if
the lollipop racks are used in line with the trees, then the only problem
would be if a few shovels of snow need to be removed between the rack and
where the sidewalk plow cleared.
John suggests we start writing the grant, assuming we’ll eventually get
support. John will ask Cary to start, and let us know he wants to assign
parts of it to us. Reminder, due *Thursday May 31*.
Subcommittee should meet again soon, propose this Sunday 20th, 1 PM, Quill.
