There is no way I’m crossing WCD as a pedestrian. It’s too risky.

,truckloads of branches and brush to Riverside Recycling for a friend
I was informed once several years ago the WPD was short on traffic control man
/ woman power , to cite people like the ones you saw.
Nevertheless, an enhanced patrol of Motorists NOT stopping for Pedestrians in
Crosswalks in Westbrook resulted in 18 Citations in just 2 Hours last week . Or
during the Fourth of July weekend.
I have witnessed several close calls of various infractions in Westbrook, some
people have no idea how close they came to being a statistic.

vehicles solidly ran the red light coming towards us as they headed east.
Just imagine a blind pedestrian believing they were safe to cross WCD headed
North according to the audible signal not realizing traffic was racing and
running the light?
That blind pedestrian would be dead.
