Yes, Lee. John has asked Eric about the policies in effect, what General
Rule means. The DOT comes into the mix because WCD is also State Route 25.
I am darn leery of this Spring Weather tease, bringing people out who may
not be immediately aware of those two Exiting Left Turn Lanes, when they
activate the Ped. Crosswalk and start across, seeing east and west bound
thru lanes all stopped. We are safe to cross ......

turn lane. A young Mom, with a walking daughter, and a small carriage of
groceries, waited in the East bound side of WCD, after activating the Ped.
Crossing to walk across towards the far sidewalk on the westbound lanes of
WCD.
Eventually, all WCD East and West Lanes had Red Lights. Then, the 2
Exiting Westbound Left Turn Lanes got GREEN LIGHTS. I waited with my Left
Turn Signal on. One car behind me and maybe two cars to my Right in the
other Left Turn Lane. The Mom hesitated a second and seeing I was stopped,
she started across WCD. The other cars to my Right and behind me waited.
But as soon as she was across the Westbound lanes, the car behind me pulled
out to the far right west lane and passed me.
Everything turned out OK, but not everyone always has Patience.
That problem with the 2 Exiting Left Turn Westbound Lanes needs to be
addressed.
