Good Morning.
Yesterday morning, my Wife and I were turning onto Main Street out of the
Post Office to go downtown.
A rapidly moving car apparently did not like that we pulled out and blew the
horn wildly.
As we made ready to turn onto Church Street the Driver came as close as
possible to our car while wildly blowing the horn nearly side swiping us.
Earlier this Fall my Wife was turning left onto Main Street from Dunn Street
needing to be extra cautious due to paving equipment.
The Driver behind her followed her onto the arterial harassed her by passing
her and slamming on the brakes in front of her.
I’m fed up with this idea that suggestive signs are going to help solve this
problem.
It’s quite apparent that this is an attitude problem especially after the
Pedestrian death at William Clark and Stroudwater.

20 pedestrians just in this year alone! The statistics are sobering and
heart-breaking to me. I may hold strategy meetings several times a month,
before our Monthly Meetings. Your opinion? I feel we need to step it up a bit
and get these statistics to change for the better. Again, just my opinion; I
guess I want to move faster then is humanly possible ;)
