I don't quite understand what you're describing. I don't go through that
intersection regularly, so maybe things have changed recently, but I'm not
recalling any right-turn only lanes from any direction. Also, there
wouldn't be a "slip lane" for through traffic. I've only ever seen "slip
lane" used to refer to a lane that bypasses a traffic light for right
turns. Another example would be the lane that used to exist for Larrabee
Road traffic coming from the I-95 interchange to merge right onto Main
Street by the McDonalds without stopping first, if no one was coming. The
city eliminated this slip lane as part of the Rock Row road changes, and I
think that was a great improvement. Slip lanes have a bad reputation
for prioritizing
vehicle speed over pedestrian safety
<https://www.strongtowns.org/journal/2019/11/5/slip-lanes-would-never-exist-if-we-prioritized-safety-over-speed>
.

Wikipedia defines a slip lane <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slip_lane> as
"a road at a junction that allows people to change roads without actually
entering an intersection". (The illustration at that page confused me for a
few seconds until I realized it was relative to countries where people
drive on the left.)
