Friday afternoon , May 31st, 2018, @ 4:30PM.
The picture is from the municipal parking lot behind CVS, and the Family
Dollar Store, looking across WCD, towards Sportsmens Hardware and Central
Street. The family waiting for traffic to stop, so they can cross WCD, made
it across the west and east bound lanes, probably because of the slow
moving afternoon commuter traffic. Looking closely, to the Right, and you
can see the double faced wood post mounted Sign, with the Universal red
slashed circle, for No Crossing, and the smaller sign USE CROSSWALK -->
pointing towards the Controlled Pedestrian Crosswalk at Mechanic Street and
WCD. I wonder if Traffic will be as slow and courteous when the Western
end Intersection of WCD with Saco Street and two Thru Travel Lanes are
installed on WCD.
