That said, a glider would be nice. As Charles said, I won't let myself veto
such an improvement and be a thorn. If you feel that I am off-base here,
let me know and I'll pay my share. Just let's not make any part of our
community a we/they like so many shared communities do.

I'd like weigh in here.
Over the past 38 years I have owned 102, we've had great conraderie and
haven't needed to summon the majority vote concept to satisfy something
wanted that doesn't benefit us all that I can recall. I'd like to remind
everyone here of this reality.
The items addressed have included needed roof repairs, split from the
association and subsequent split from the houses downhill, and common dues
modifications.
I do not think that using out ten unit equal quarterly dues, if we had
extra, for a chair that all of us would not have any intention of
benefiting from, is not in this remarkable 43 year spirit.

I brought up the idea of adding a double glider rocker (for two) in the
Adirondack style to the area. I know for myself I would love to take a book
down to the area and —even if I’m just on my own—rock and read and look up
at the trees for solace and comfort and a little forest bathing. Barbara
looked up online and found one in the same style as existing chairs for
about $550. If all of us chip in that would mean about $60 or $70 each
depending on shipping fees. How do you guys feel about this?
