... there's a mistake here. Obviously one does look at the world to say that 
one is a "bachelor" in a school-boy sense. But what I meant is that "bachelor" 
in this idea means nothing other than "verifying the yes/no criteria" of 1. 
male; and 2. married.

All my life, I have been taught that "bachelor" in a school-boy sense is a 
tautology because it is true by the defintion of the terms, not by looking at 
the world.
