More work on leveraging the math:

This is a snap shot wherein we attempt to provide some
continuity for our school of thought ("we" being a rag
tag army of loosely affiliated stakeholders). In this
case, we're talking about product placement opportunities.
Both Flextegrity and the OLPC XO have made and appearance.
This Portland coffee shop is actually a headquarters in
XO world, as I've well documented in my Photostream.

One might ask what "product placement opportunities"
have to do with philosophy, but when you think "meaning
is use" you might see this new dawn.

The ambiance I'm operating in in the above blog post is
surprisingly "grunge punk" and that might seem out of
sync with "the Bucky stuff". Here you might benefit
from reading Julie's review of a recent book, as well
as the book itself of course:

Here I talk about my time at McGraw-Hill and the vista
confronting us at that time. Around this time, I wrote
my 'Videogrammatron' proposal for Childrens Television
Workshop, basically envisioning Youtube (growing database
of short video clips).

Here's a question I'd pose to Josh, others writing about
Alan Turing in this archive. Quoting from another email
of earlier today (one typo fixed):

"""
Here's what I'm thinking: Leibniz and later Ada were dreaming of
the day when what we call Logic would have some kind of
machine implementation.

This actually occurred, but to protect their turf and to keep
Logic under their control, the metaphysicians at Cambridge
and such places made sure anything Turing Machine was
relegated to the back burner as "mere computer programming".

Today, if I go out on stage claiming Python is its own little
Logic, time-aware, that's just gonna earn me sneering and
jeering, because 'everyone knows' that Logic only runs on paper,
i.e. doesn't "run" at all.

But how is that more than convenient semantics?
