Yesterday, I found a nice pond for shorebirds and ducks on 58th rd just west of 51st dr in what I believe is Dover. This area is just west of 94 and SW of the Sylvania Airport. Present were several Lesser Yellowlegs, Pectoral Sandpipers, Leasts, Short-billed Dowitchers, Solitary and a lone Stilt Sandpiper. The pond was also loaded with Mallards and Teal. I failed to find any Buff-breasted Sandpipers at the Burmeister sod farms, only a lone Black-bellied Plover and many Killdeer. Wind Point was also completely dead except for butterflies.
