Here are the bird species observed this morning during the Madison Audubon field trip at Pheasant Branch Conservancy. It was fascinating to watch 22 TURKEY VULTURES head south just as the snow really started to come down. Sparrows included FOX, WHITE-CROWNED, WHITE-THROATED, FIELD, SAVANNAH, LINCOLN'S, SWAMP, plus EASTERN TOWHEE. Warblers: YELLOW-RUMPED, PALM, and ORANGE-CROWNED. Other birds included flyover AMERICAN PIPITS and HORNED LARKS. Time to warm up with a cup of coffee!
