With a number of birders searching, Karen relocated the flycatcher east of
the golf course, south of the gun club bldg and atop the lake bluff at
around 3:45 to 4ish. It was successfully hunting but does use a rather
wide swath of airspace in which to hunt. Looking forward to the photos
which should be coming soon. It was noted that the breast was a very
saturated yellow, which somewhat differs from the lighter Community gardens
bird. And the tail, well it's as long as the guidebooks suggest, which
apparently differs from the gardens bird.

I viewed the bird from around 1:35 to 1:50 p.m. It is flying from the wires
to the apple tree to the tall pine trees that are on the periphery of the
golf course parking lot at warnimont park. If you just stand in the golf
course parking lot and look up and around, you should be able to spot it. I
saw it actively hunt several times and saw it eat at least twice. The bird
was not particularly skittish and seemed content where it was. Pictures
forthcoming.
Good birding,

Great find Bill. Maybe an Ash-throated or Fork-tailed Flycatcher will be
next. Thick-billed Kingbird would be good too. Great time to get out and
look for vagrants especially along the lakefront.

Another (or one of the earlier individuals from this fall?) Western
Kingbird is in Milwaukee's Warnimont Park this afternoon, on the site
of
the former Cudahy Gun Club, just east of the north end of the golf
course.
I saw the bird from 2:39 pm, until 2:52pm, foraging along the lakeshore
bluff.
Although there were birders looking for the STFL near Milwaukee's CGI a
little bit later, I did not see that bird myself - but didn't stay more
than 2-3 minutes.
