College Avenue Birding in England & Scotland Presented by Mariette & Dave Nowak Join Mariette and Dave Nowak for this presentation on their recent month long trip to England and Scotland. In England they explored the fens, marshes and woodlands in Norfolk, the Farne Islands on the coast, and the lakes and mountains of the scenic Lake District. In the highlands of Scotland, they enjoyed the walks in Caledonian forests, in the Cairgorn Mountains, and on Handa Island on the northwest coast. They also visited Dunbar, the birthplace of the famed conservationist John Muir, who spent much of his youth in Wisconsin. Along the way they saw many of the beautiful birds of Britain, including shags, and shelducks, puffins and lapwings. Please forward an invitation to a friend. All of our programs are free and open to the public. * A 6:30 PM Nature Discovery Walk is planned before the program.
