Was driving south from Hwy 60 on Kroncke Rd - there is a flooded area on
Kroncke Rd about a 1/2 mile  north of CTH DM.  The area is on the east side of
Kroncke Rd. It was all white this afternoon:

Am White Pelican  -  53
Great Egrets             67
Snowy Egret    -         1
Whooping Cranes  -    3

The viewing is downhill and distant but I eventually noticed one egret that
turned out to be smaller - it eventually began to feed and was a very active
feeder, darting about here and there.  There were some heat waves in addition
to the distance but I could eventually make out that the bill was blackish from
the tip to the lores, not 2 tone like a Little Blue. It flew up on a dirt mound
in the back of the flooded area a few time and it looks like it had greenish
legs and yellow feet.

Also had a single Merlin flyby a little north of this spot earlier.

7 shorebirds species on Harvey Rd just north of Wangness - wangness is just
about dry.
The farmer is pumping water fast.
