This morning I saw, at the Fish Creek dock, a duck that I could not id. It was
with about 30 mallards, and it was a bit smaller than a mallard, chestnut brown
coloring over it's entire feathered body except for a white breast. Black bill
and legs and feet and a tiny white speculum. Any guesses?
About 250 Canada Geese were in the Eagle Harbor, Ephraim, this morning. There
was a SNOW GOOSE (dark adult) among them. Unfortunately it and a small group
flew a few minutes later.
