The WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS were still on Lake Waubesa late yesterday afternoon. With full sunlight, the white primaries could be clearly seen as they flew from north to south. There was another dark-winged Scoter-like bird leading the group. I lost them for a short time and was only able to find the 4 White-winged Scoters on the opposite side of the lake from Christie's Landing. It was like trying to find "Waldo" among the thousands of Coot, Bufflehead and Ruddy Ducks.
