According to both the WSO arrival/departure records and eBird, Reddish
Egret has never been seen in Wisconsin. The closest record to Wisconsin
from eBird was from Waukegan, Illinois in 2007.
Hopefully, this bird can be refound and photographed and/or documented for
the state records.

FOY. Located on Oakwood Road and Pennsylvania Avenue area on 4/13/21.
Feeding in ditch along southeast Oak Creek marsh area.
First ever for me at home.
We saw at least 40 of them during the last two weeks of March down on
Merritt Island off Titusville FL so we are very familiar with identifying
them especially as opposed to Little Blue Herons which were also abundant
on the island.
Is this a rare species in southeastern Wisconsin?
