This is definitely a Hermit Thrush, Marie. The last two shots show the distinctive rufous-colored tail (which contrasts with the brown back). Both Swainson's and Hermit Thrushes have eye-rings, but Swainson's will have a brown tail that is similar to the back color. The timing is also better for Hermit, being early migrants -- and Swainson's arrive later in the spring -- typically around May 1 or so. Hi All. Had this thrush visit my yard yesterday morning. Can you id it for me? Is it a Swainson's, or am I way off? I posted it to my shop's facebook page, in an album. Go past the squirrel photos and you'll see it. Hopefully the photos are good enough to identify it properly. Thanks for any help you can give me. http://www.facebook.com/GoWildwBirds?ref=tn_tnmn Marie Rohrer, Owner Go Wild With Birds 107 Church St. Neenah, WI 54956 920-751-3880 www.gowildwithbirds.com #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
