This evening there was a Prothonotary Warbler at the southwest corner of Stricker's Pond in Middleton. Earlier on the PM a Kentucky Warbler put in a brief appearance in the undergrowth at the edge of the woods behind my house (also Middleton). Another afternoon guest was a "Brewster's Warbler". This one looked just like a Golden- Winged - even the broad yellow wing bar - except for the absence of the black face and throat markings.
