[wisb] Northern Wisconsin help/information for out of state birder??

A central Illinois acquaintance of mine recently sent me the following e-mail:
"I was scouting the Wisconsin Birding List in preparation for a visit to the
Wayward WI, Chequamegon NF area next week and came across one of your posts.
Do you know the Northern WI area well enough to recommend a good birding spot
or two?"
Can anyone familiar with that area recommend a few good birding spots?
