Good evening,
Today was the best bird day in my entire life! It was complete insanity at
Warnimont Park!!! I had 141 species and 31 warblers, 32 if you count
Brewster's. The sheer numbers of warblers were shocking! I spent the entire
day there and walked a little over 7.5 miles, according to eBird app. In
the early evening, there was BLUE GROSBEAK, PRAIRIE WARBLER,
YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT and NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD all within 100 yard radius of
each other in the center of the park by the prairie area with information
sign. I also found WHITE-EYED VIREO, YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER and CERULEAN
WARBLER. WEVI was most likely continuing from Saturday when I found it. It
was right at the start of the fairway on hole #8. The WESTERN KINGBIRD also
continues behind the archery range, although 15 minutes after seeing it
over there I found it again 300 yards south along the bluff or maybe there
is a 2nd one??? And lastly, I took 5762 pictures today!!! I have no idea
when I'll ever get a chance to look through that many, plus be out taking
more all week! Today was a day I might never replicate!
