Greetings! We had a lovely day of banding despite dinosaurs bellowing! Species banded include: yellow rumped warblers, Lincoln's sparrow, ovenbirds (11), American goldfinch (7), black-capped chickadee, blackburnian warbler (gorgeous male), black and white warbler, yellow warbler, warbling vireo, orange-crowned warbler, black-throated green warbler (2), house wrens, Northern parula, American redstart, hooded warbler, magnolia warbler, Nashville warblers (4), Eastern phoebe, palm warblers (3), Northern waterthrush (2), gray catbirds (8), white-breasted nuthatches (2), veery, American robin (2), and Northern cardinal. Some species observed: blue-gray gnatcatchers, least flycatchers (several), scarlet tanagers (3), Northern parulas everywhere, Baltimore orioles, gray-cheeked thrush, wood thrushes, rose-breasted grosbeaks, red-eyed vireo, cedar waxwings, great-crested flycatcher, blue jay, blue-winged teal, hooded mergansers, ruby-throated hummingbird, Eastern wood-peewee, golden-winged warbler, chestnut-sided warbler, chipping sparrow, and song sparrow. Recaptures: * Gray catbird banded 17 May ' 09 * Gray catbird banded 3 May '10 * American goldfinch banded 4 May '10 * Brown headed cowbird banded 7 May '09 *****Wood Thrush banded 11 May 2007!!!!!
