It was a cool yet sunny morning. At 6:30am Lake Waubesa was mirror flat. An east wind picked up later in the morning. Jeff White and I birded Lake Farm Park. Jeff, sorry you had to leave early and miss the FOYs. Mary and Barb, did you see the warblers? Highlights: Warblers: FOY Common Yellowthroat (1) located at the northwest corner of the burned prairie/woods in the low willows/honeysuckle FOY Northern Waterthrush (1) located at the edge of the marsh, off the path through the woods west of the burned prairie Palm Warblers (3) near yellowthroat Yellow-rumped Warblers (6) - 2 with yellowthroat and palm and the rest scattered Warbling Vireo numbers were up to 6 and all singing in the tops of the cottonwoods 2 of the 3 Brown Thrashers were singing up a storm (that's supposed to come in tomorrow). Only 1 Hermit Thrush today My eBird report is appended below.
