I followed Steve Thiessens directions by parking on CTH M accross the Rd from Caine Rd and walked south to the area of the smart weed. I had some great looks at about 8:45 AM of Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrows perched on top of the smartweed from about 25 feet away. They were making a clicking sound similiar to what Junco's make. Also good numbers of Lincoln and White-thr Sparrows and a few Savannah and Swamp Sparrows and a couple kilo's of Songs Sparrows. A flock of blackbirds with some Rusty's flew over. Flushed a couple of rails - probably Sora. Saw one Ruby-crown Kinglet, heard some Bluebirds and only one gunshot. Yellow-rumps and Palm only warblers.
