I checked out the flooded fields in the Horicon Marsh area as well as the marsh. No shorebirds were found on the ponds west of the marsh. The only shorebirds were at Point Rd pond where, besides the Killdeer, there were 6 Least and 1 Semipalmated Sandpiper. The fall shorebird migration is slowly starting. The only interesting thing on the marsh (only covered the north end) was a Trumpeter Swan family on the east pond (by the pump house). There were four young accompanying the parents.
