I went to Sheboygan this morning to try for the Harlequin Duck. I started on
the south side of the harbor and worked my way north. I was very lucky to
spot it just south of north point and had to park on the side of the road to
get my binoculars on it. It was alone and relatively close to shore.
I also biked this evening down Willow Road on Green Bay's east side and
about one hour before sunset the Wilson's Snipe were already calling and
winnowing overhead. This was in the wet farm fields between Huron and
Phillips Roads. There was a Northern Harrier as well.
