There is a Greater White-fronted Goose in Fish Creek at the Fish Creek Public Beach, with about 50 Canada Geese. It and the Canadas have been on the edge of the beach or water for 1/2 hour or more, facing the strong North Wind. This GWF Goose is smaller than the Canada Geese, with definite orange feet, legs and bill. It also has a wide circle of white around the base of the orange bill. I have photos, but not able to send yet, as that computer is temporarily out-of-use. According to the booklet THE BIRDS OF DOOR COUNTY, it is Rare here, and a full month later than the last SUMMER-FALL sighting.
